Diesel Emissions (DERA)
American Recovery and Reinvestment National Clean Diesel Funding for Missouri
The Department of Natural Resources received this Recovery Act funding to target areas in the state facing the biggest air quality challenges. The department awarded subgrants to St. Louis Regional Clean Cities and the Ozark Center for Sustainable Solutions at Drury University. These projects will replace or retrofit school buses as well as retrofit trash and concrete trucks to reduce diesel emissions.
American Recovery and Reinvestment Funding for the Missouri Clean Diesel Grant Program
The Department of Natural Resources distributed Recovery Act funding to four regions in the state that have monitored values at or above the health-based National Ambient Air Quality Standards for Ozone. Reducing diesel emissions and the harmful emissions that contribute to the formation of ground-level ozone are important steps toward protecting public health in Missouri.
